Booking an LTL or FTL shipment with us is straightforward and designed to get your freight moving quickly and reliably. The process is similar for both modes, with minor differences based on shipment size and equipment needs.

Here's the typical step-by-step flow from quote to pickup.
Step-by-step booking process:
Get a quote — Start by providing your shipment details (origin ZIP/city/state, destination ZIP/city/state, requested pickup date/range, weight, pallet count, dimensions per piece/pallet, freight description, any special requirements like temperature control, liftgate, residential delivery, hazmat, etc.). Use our online quote form, email, phone, online platform or live chat—we'll respond within 5 minutes with competitive LTL and/or FTL options, including breakdowns of rates, transit estimates, and equipment recommendations.
Review and select the best option — We'll send you quote(s) showing total cost (base rate + fuel surcharge + accessorials), estimated transit time, carrier/equipment details, and any notes. Compare LTL vs. FTL if both apply, or ask for adjustments (e.g., different dates or services). We can also suggest optimizations like density improvements for LTL savings.
Confirm and book — Once you approve a quote, reply with your go-ahead (via email, phone, or our portal). Provide any final details (e.g., exact pickup address/time window, contact at origin/destination, PO numbers, or special instructions). We'll issue a confirmation with:
Booking number/reference.
Assigned carrier/equipment.
Pickup appointment (if required).
Bill of Lading (BOL) template or prep instructions.
Prepare your freight — Get everything ready for pickup:
Palletize/crate/secure the load properly (stackable if possible, wrapped/strapped, labeled clearly with destination info).
Ensure accurate weights/dimensions match what was quoted (to avoid reweigh/reclass fees).
Have the BOL ready (we can generate or guide you on it—includes shipper/consignee info, item description, pieces, weight, class if LTL).
Be available or have someone onsite for loading assistance if needed.
Pickup & tracking — The carrier arrives at the scheduled window (we coordinate). Driver inspects/seals the load, signs the BOL, and hauls it out. You'll get tracking info (PRO number or similar) right away—monitor status in real-time via our portal, email updates, or by calling us.
Delivery & proof — Freight arrives at destination (notify if appointment required). Receiver signs for it; we send delivery confirmation/proof of delivery (POD) if needed. Handle any accessorials or claims through us if issues arise.
Key differences by mode:
LTL: More emphasis on accurate class/density upfront (we help verify); pickup may have broader windows due to consolidation.
FTL: Often firmer appointments since it's dedicated; higher focus on load securement for specialized equipment.
Tips for smooth booking:
Book 24–72 hours in advance for standard; sooner for expedited, peak seasons, or remote areas.
Provide complete/accurate info to lock in rates and avoid surprises.
For regulars, set up an account for faster repeats and potential discounts.
The whole process from quote request to pickup can take as little as same-day for urgent loads or 1–2 days for planning if needed on your end.
We're here every step—no surprises, no hidden fees.
