We provide a full range of standard and specialized trailer equipment to match your freight needs—whether it's everyday dry goods, temperature-sensitive items, oversized loads, or anything in between. The right equipment ensures safe transport, compliance, and cost efficiency. Here are the most common types we offer for both LTL and FTL shipments:

Dry Van (most common/standard)
Fully enclosed 48-53 ft trailers.
Best for: General freight, palletized goods, boxed products, consumer items, machinery parts, retail stock—anything that needs protection from weather/theft.
Advantages: Secure, weatherproof, easy loading (swing or roll-up doors), highest availability, lowest cost.
Typical capacity: Up to ~45,000 lbs payload, 24–30 pallets.
Reefer (Refrigerated/Temperature-Controlled)
Insulated trailer with refrigeration unit for heating/cooling.
Best for: Perishables, food/beverages, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, flowers, or any temperature-sensitive freight (frozen, chilled, or warm).
Advantages: Precise temp control (e.g., -10°F to +70°F), multi-temp zones available on some units.
Considerations: Slightly lower payload (due to reefer unit weight), higher rates, requires fuel/electric standby for temp maintenance.
Flatbed
Open-deck trailer (no sides/roof), usually 20–53 ft.
Best for: Oversized, heavy, or irregularly shaped freight like construction materials, steel, lumber, machinery, pipes, vehicles, or equipment that can't fit in an enclosed trailer.
Advantages: Easy side/top loading with cranes/forklifts, handles overweight/oversize with permits.
Considerations: Needs tarps, straps, chains, or edge protection; exposed to weather; higher securement requirements.
Step-Deck / Drop-Deck
Similar to flatbed but with a lower deck (step-down) for taller loads.
Best for: Tall machinery, construction equipment, large pipes, or anything exceeding standard height (up to ~10 ft on lower deck without permits).
Advantages: Extra height clearance (overall up to ~11–12 ft loaded), still open for easy access.
Considerations: Slightly reduced payload vs. standard flatbed; often used for oversize.
Conestoga / Sliding Tarp
Flatbed with retractable side curtains and roof tarp system.
Best for: Weather-sensitive flatbed freight (e.g., lumber, steel coils, machinery) that needs protection but easy side/top loading.
Advantages: Combines open-deck accessibility with enclosed-like protection; reduces tarp labor.
Considerations: Premium equipment, limited availability in some areas.
Other Specialized Options
Power-Only / Straight Truck / Box Truck / Express Vans— For smaller urban/regional deliveries or last-mile.
Lowboy / RGN (Removable Gooseneck) — For very heavy/oversized (e.g., excavators, transformers).
Double-Drop / Extendable — For extra-long or extra-tall loads.
Hazmat-Capable — Trailers/drivers certified for hazardous materials (when required).
We match equipment to your freight specs (weight, dimensions, handling needs, temperature requirements, etc.) to avoid delays or extra fees.
Most standard LTL uses dry vans; FTL gives more flexibility for specialized types.
