Yes—we offer cross-border and international freight services, including shipments to/from Canada, Mexico, and select other international destinations, for both LTL and FTL.
Services to Canada:
Full support for U.S.-Canada (and Canada-U.S.) shipments.
Modes: LTL (consolidated or volume), FTL (dedicated dry van, reefer, flatbed), and some specialized equipment.
Common lanes: High-volume routes like Midwest to Ontario/Quebec, West Coast to British Columbia, or Northeast to Atlantic provinces.
Key requirements: Proper commercial invoice, Canada Customs Invoice (CCI) if value > CAD $2,500, B3 form (if needed), and compliance with C-TPAT/PIP security programs.
Transit times: Typically 2–7 business days (faster on major corridors like Detroit-Windsor or Buffalo-Niagara).
Duties/taxes: These would be handled by yours or your client's custom brokerage.
Services to Mexico:
U.S.-Mexico (and Mexico-U.S.) cross-border freight, including nearshoring support.
Modes: Primarily FTL (due to border crossing logistics), with some LTL options through partnered carriers.
Equipment: Dry van, reefer (very common for perishables/agri), flatbed for maquiladora/ manufacturing freight.
Common lanes: Texas border (Laredo, El Paso), California (Otay Mesa, San Ysidro), Arizona.
Key requirements: NAFTA/USMCA Certificate of Origin (if qualifying for preferential duty), commercial invoice, packing list, pedimento (Mexican customs declaration handled by broker), and compliance with C-TPAT/CTPAT-equivalent.
Transit times: 2–6 business days for border-adjacent; longer for interior Mexico (e.g., Monterrey, Querétaro, Mexico City).
Additional notes: We coordinate drayage (short-haul to/from border), customs brokerage, and in-bond movements when needed.
Other International Services:
Limited international ocean/air freight forwarding (e.g., containers to Europe, Asia, or South America) through trusted partners.
Export/import support for select overseas destinations—primarily FCL (full container load) or air freight for urgent/high-value.
Not full global LTL network—focus remains North America with extensions for containerized or air shipments.
What we handle for cross-border/international:
Customs brokerage coordination (or direct broker referral).
All required documentation prep/guidance (invoices, certificates, NAFTA/USMCA forms).
Border crossing logistics (including FAST-approved carriers for expedited clearance).
Tracking across borders (with updates on status, customs hold if any).
Insurance/liability options for international moves (higher declared values recommended).
Pro tips for smooth cross-border shipping:
Provide full commercial details early (HS codes, value, origin rules for duties).
Use Incoterms correctly (e.g., DAP or DDP if you want to cover duties).
Plan for potential delays at border (e.g., inspections, paperwork issues).
For Mexico, consider "through-trailer" FTL to avoid double-drayage costs.
When quoting international or cross-border loads, include destination country, exact addresses (including postal codes), commodity description, value, and any known HS codes—we'll confirm service availability and estimate transit/customs times.
Got a load heading to Canada, Mexico, or overseas? Drop the origin, destination, freight details, and value—we'll get you accurate cross-border options and handle the paperwork side!
